A COLLECTION OF ATTENTION

THE WORK

My work begins with observation, curiosity and a desire to understand how things behave, connect and transform. I look closely at the world around me, at patterns, rhythms, contrasts, colours, textures and organic structures that might otherwise go unnoticed. These observations become the starting point for an ongoing process of investigation. I work across painting, works on paper, ceramics, sculpture and material-based experimentation. I do not commit to a single medium or technique; instead, each investigation determines the material, process and form it needs.
Across different disciplines, recurring elements emerge: contrast, repetition, rhythm, colour, organic form, texture and transformation. Sometimes I begin with an image or visual observation. Sometimes with a material or a question: What happens if? I may take a form apart, alter a material, repeat a structure or bring seemingly unrelated elements together. The process is often as important as the final work, a continuous dialogue between intention, material, chance and discovery. The medium may change. The way of seeing remains.
